WalindiCONTACT US ABOUT THIS LOCATION

Walindi Plantation Resort is in Kimbe Bay- 40 minutes drive from the Hoskins Airport on the North Side of New Britain Island. The diving is world renowned and many award winning photographs have been taken here. The resort's guest book reads like the "Who's Who" in the world of diving and underwater photography and it has been voted as the "Best Diving Resort" anywhere in the world!! Aside from the jaw-dropping diving, the resort itself is amazing and the staff and their hospitality will ensure your stay is memorable.

With Walindi Resort as her home port, MV FeBrina has evolved into a boutique Liveaboard dive vessel, providing a unique diving experience in the bountiful waters of West New Britain.

MV FeBrina is 73 feet of liveaboard comfort and convenience. She is a stable and extremely seaworthy motor vessel, well set out and catering for serious divers and photographers who want a total PNG dive experience. MV FeBrina has accommodation for 12 passengers in 7 air-conditioned cabins. Air-conditioning units are all individual split system units, controlled from your cabin. Each cabin has a plentiful supply of towels, with used towels being collected daily for laundering (unless requested otherwise). The cabins have been custom built to include plenty of storage area and make maximum use of space available. Bathroom facilities all have regular flush toilets. Currently three of the cabins have ensuite facilities and they are situated at the forward section of the lower deck.

MV FeBrina dives the areas of Kimbe Bay, the surrounding waters along the northern coast of New Britain such as the Witu Islands to the north west and Fathers Reefs to the north east, the channels between New Hanover and New Ireland (Kavieng area), Rabaul and South Coast New Britain. For selected departures, MV FeBrina also travels to other dive areas in Papua New Guinea.

The areas FeBrina dives are home to prolific and diverse marine creatures and corals. Each area has it's speciality, and as most of our cruises cover at least two and often more destinations, we can offer many different types of diving in the one voyage. Most diving is from FeBrina's very well laid out dive deck, with easy access via the water level dive platform.

TufiCONTACT US ABOUT THIS LOCATION

The Tufi region is the undiscovered Mecca for diving enthusiasts. Blessed with unequalled marine diversity, an unspoilt pristine environment, and untouched WWII historical dive sites, Tufi is the ultimate dive destination. Just a short flight due east of the PNG capital, Port Moresby, discover majestic fjords, the beauty of the reef and rainforest, and the unique unexplored diving opportunities of the Solomon Sea.

Tufi offers a wide variety of diving experiences. From diving the fiords to unchartered reefs and WW2 wrecks. Constant visibility of 30 metres plus and water temperatures of 26°C to 29°C all year round.

Dive the fjords, experience our unique macro world and check out the WW2 PT boat wrecks. Day or night, a wide variety of gobie, nudibranchs, Mandarin Fish, Ghost Pipe Fish, Pigmy Seahorse and a plethora of other fascinating creatures. A wonderful array of sponge and shelf corals that line the walls of the tropical rainforest fiord, a truly different dive environment.

The outer reef experience is unsurpassed with a choice of dozens of world-class dive sites. Moor onto a few of our favourites, Cyclone Cay, Black Rocks, Stewarts Reef and Shark Tip.

Dive the famous Dutch cargo ship the "S Jacob" or Blackjack - an intact B17 bomber - as specialty charter dives. Spectacular marine life in abundance: schooling barracuda and reef fish, hammerheads, reef sharks, manta rays, eagle rays, grouper and cruising palegic as well as soft and hard corals. A pristine environment unspoiled.

The fjords are excellent for macro diving with gobies, nudibranch, shrimps and clams. These animals can be seen by diving, but conditions are also ideal for snorkelling.

Because there is very little current movement in the fjords, many sponges and coral species grow prolifically and there are some very large sponges and shelf corals that are not common on the outer reefs.

5-10 nautical miles offshore lies a string of reefs - 'bommies' that come up from a staggering depth of up to 600 m to a nice safety-stop level of 7-5 m below the surface. The outer reef experience is unsurpassed with visibility exceeding 30m all year round and water temperature from 26-29°C.
